Okay folks, this li'l hootenanny is hitting the road for whats looking like a west coast foray...
THIS TUESDAY JUNE 17: Phoenix! The Phoenix Edge radio station is holding a contest to determine who's coming to sing and play along with weezer in a private jam session with the band - to be recorded to on-air play! If you are chosen, bring an instrument (or at least your voice and hands)! You must be as prepared as you can be to help weezer rock these songs out! So be prepared to sing along and (if you can) play an instrument (any instrument! really!) to the following songs:
Pork And Beans
Island In The Sun
Creep (by Radiohead)
Say It Aint So
El Scorcho
Beverly Hills
The band has recorded a special video clip for you to both announce the shows and to let you know critical details about how to play the songs! Definitely watch this video, youll need it to know what key the songs are in and other musical details!!

Check out the "Greatest Fan That Ever Lived" contest, going on right now! You could win the wicked boombox featured in Weezer's "Greatest man That Ever Lived" Mtv 52 Bands clip, that helped the band rock out in the park. Watch the clip, answer a few questions and register to win!

People, I know your usual radio tuning in might be more towards the rock side of things, but you need to get on thr National Public Radio train NOW, because this weekend NPR will be running a great new interview with Rivers! That means today!!!
This piece will be used on Weekend Edition which airs on 300+ NPR stations around the USA. It will also be on their website (at some point) as a pod cast on the “All Songs Considered” part of the site. (Will post direct link when we have it).

The commercial single “Pork & Beans” release date remains June 23rd.

There will be a 180 gram Red Album deluxe edition vinyl LP! We dont have a release date yet though, possibly not till later in the summer. It takes a while to contruct these things. Dont have the details yet, but we do know it will be a 2 disc set with high quality packaging etc.

...Todays photo is the flyer from the Japanese fan event "Weezer night", coming up on July 12th! Its their 4th annual Weezer Night, so if you are in Japan, seek this out! Its at a "Rock Bar" called 'Rolling Stone'.

After the shooting of the Pork And Beans video was completed, Tay Zonday sat down with weezer for an interview - as the interviewer! Excerpts and some video from this historic event are now on Mtv.com here.

...Weezer's "Say It Ain't So" got voted into the Rolling Stone's "Top 100 Guitar Songs Ever" at #72! (Also in the print edition).
...Deluxe Edition booklet typos: Okay there are a couple of intentional typos (they should be fairly obvious), several accidental ones and unfortunately a few key things were omitted from the booklet and will be included in future printings: #1 is the Miss Sweeney writing credit - Rivers did not write the song alone: our own Sarah C. Kim supplied some very key lyrics! And for "Automatic", Joe Baressi is supposed to be credited as an engineer. Sorry guys, we'll fix it in pressing #2, alsong with several typo errors in the interview parts.

06/02/08 Twas The Night Before The Red Album
By now you might be aware that Weezer is releasing their 6th album tomorrow. Tomorrow! The wait is over. It doesnt seem possible, but its been over 3 years since the release of 'Make Believe'. So much has changed in the last few years, but happily a renewed commitment to rocking out and exploring new musical territory has taken a strong hold. Get ready to rock!

05/30/08 Weezer Nation Radio on Sirius!
People of the satellite radio world, look out! Weezer will be hijacking Sirius Radio at 6pm today!! The channel known as Alternative Nation will hereby be declared Weezer Nation! It will stay Weezer Nation for days! Two days? Three days? Four days? More days? Until... well, until the guys get tired of being DJs and then... they will give it back. (Which is rather polite for hijackers actually). Anyway, however long the party lasts, they will be playing songs by their favorite bands, songs off their own about-to-be-released Red Album and theyll be talking about...whatever bands talk about when they hijack stuff. Weezer Nation! Today at 6PM till ? on Sirius Radio's Alternative Nation!
