What Weezer song always makes you cry?

For me its either The Damage in Your Heart, I Thought I Knew or Heart Songs. I have to admit. All 3 bring me to tears every time.

Re: I Don't Cry A Lot, But...

I'd have to say the bridge to the last chorus of Across The Sea...

There's so much emotion packed into that part of the song that just gets me sometimes. It doesn't help that I really feel that the one that's meant for me is somewhere other than here and it feels as if, literally, my one true love is "across the sea".

Other than that I don't really cry when I listen to Weezer. Across The Sea just makes my eyes water.

Sincerely,
R.C.

oh, did you ever know how much i care?
did you ever know that out somewhere
there's a boy who really hurts
since i.... found... you
i found a girl
i found a thorn
i found a queen
now i am warm

you told me you would be here by my side
warming my heart on this cold winter's night
here i sit waiting beside the tree all by myself

Re: ?

Cry because they're terrible? Because that's what I think the main post was saying? It seems to have changed to emotionally overwhelming tears. I've never cried but that part in across the sea (the how i need a hand in mine to hold part) always sends shivers down my spine, it must be the build up and then there's the slightest second of hesitation that feels like the floor's been taken out from beneath your feet then it's like BAM.

Please help me win this contest for a signed guitar. It'd be really great. I need the most plays Go To: http://www.imeem.com/coheedandcambriafans/playlist/9-5chgWj/among_the_fence_music_playlist/ (stupid no HTML)

Re: =w=

xcastsnoshadowx, I couldn't have said that any better myself. Here I sit, 12 years since I first heard that song...12 YEARS!!...and it's still one of my favorites. I wish that would have played that at the Garden. I've seen them live 4 times, and never any "Across The Sea".

I also would say that almost all of Pinkerton has that effect on me. But my all time favorite, would be "Waiting On You."

"I asked you if you had pure heart,
you answered yes, I'll never do you harm"
etc.

I assumed the OP meant emotional crying...

I don't really cry, but the closest to it must be Across The Sea for me. It's just so beautiful and heart wrenching.

Suzanne as well, though I don't know why. It's not really a sad song. I think I listened to it a lot when I had a crush on someone...

Only in Dreams! I can't believe no one has listed that one yet! That song is poetic and poignant and beautiful. That one makes me cry, and it's probably like someone else said... just reminds me of a different time in my life. A beautiful song anyway. :)

Re: Crying's for sissies.

Well I admit Pig got me choked up once, I was eating breakfast at the time and the bacon was still really tasty.

Waiting on You and Only In Dreams have come pretty close, just because they're so purty. Also that one line in Across the Sea...you know the one...because it's so damn true.

Re: You're all that I need in this world

When they played in Philly recently (okay, Camden...guys, please don't make me go to NJ ever again), I kinda lost it when Brian sang "Suzanne". It's always awesome to see someone rock out to their favorite song. That's the only time I cried at a live performance.

The song that really gets to me: "Thought I Knew". I love it so much it makes me cry. I love it enough to have two versions of it posted on my myspace. Ha.

Other than that, the entire Pinkerton album is kind of getting me through my early 20s...but no tears. Just, fitting anthems for the times.

Yeah, that song is very emotional, I feel that Rivers's voice is so powerful in that song as well as the rest of the album.

But for me, It would have to be Butterfly, but that's prolly because I was reading "New Moon" while listening to Pinkerton. Butterfly just works so well with the whole theme of that book. 'Twas very sad.
