That's awesome! June 24th did seem like a long way off anyway, especially considering almost all of the other weezer albums came out in May. I hope this also applies to the vinyl release!
Pinkerton came out in September.
KARL! - PLEASE TELL US IF THE BONUS TRACKS ARE ANY GOOD. Guitar solos? 'Classic' sound. If I get any kind of confirmation that "King" and "Spider" don't sound anything like RHCP/Gwen Stefani/the worst of TRA, then I'll buy the damn deluxe version. Please give me a reason to buy it!
So, that's the album there right? So why do we have to wait until June? And why is there a week difference between the Digital and Physical versions in the UK? Why tease us?
I'm well aware of that. I got Pinkerton for my birthday in November of 1996. If you read my post, I wrote "ALMOST all of the other weezer albums came out in May" as in like, 4 out of 5.
There has been a lot of decent guitar rock out recently (or a resurgance, at least - whether you think it's decent is up to you) and a new Weezer record usually brings some nice fret shredding. I'm missin' me some Rivers-solos! They're not needed in every song, but they'd be nice for sure. "Troublemaker" and "Pork and Beans" are fine without a solo, but "Dreamin'" could really use one, and TGTEL would be 1337 with one (though it's hard to figure out where to put it).
the play count for these first 8 songs is already in the 40's on my itunes...i need touring news pronto, this is killing me. if they open a show with greatest man that ever lived i'll cream my shorts. and i need to hear this angel and the one song, the title is intriguing.
You fuckers! My exams are now ruined! Doh :-D...
On a serious 'annoyed' note, whats all this about the deluxe edition delay? If you think I'm going to wait for the physical release then you are insane, Karl!
